In Rotterdam rubble and demolition waste has been used in striking ways in the past. The Schiekade was filled with rubble from the bombed out inner city in the 1940s @wederopbouwrotterdam. The spaces of @worm_rotterdam and @buitenplaatsbrienenoord were created by @superuse_studios reusing waste and leftover materials. The designers of @architectuurmaken used bricks made of recycled toilet bowls from @_stonecycling to build a house in the Gouvernestraat. @enzo.valerio and @airrotterdam used rubble from demolished concrete buildings to cover the floors of the Kruispleingarage for the @rotterdamarchitectuurmaand in 2021.
